Atlas Screeding installs factory produced screeds to ensure consistency of strength, composition and workability. Our concrete and screeding systems are specially designed for all installations from domestic use through to commercial developments. All our work is fully guaranteed and complies with British Standard BS8204 Part 1, 2003
Types of Screeds:
Sand and Cement Screed commonly referred to as Traditional Screed. Sand, cement and water are mixed on site using a mixer or a pump. If preferred, pre-mixed screed or Ready Mix, as it is better known, can be used thus saving labour time on site. This is ideal for most situations and can be used in areas where insulation and under floor heating has been installed. It can also be combined with other products to improve the drying performance.
Fibre Screed is a Traditional Screed reinforced by adding Polypropylene Fibres. This increases the overall strength and reduces the risk of cracking occurring. This would commonly be used in areas with high foot traffic and is suitable for installation in areas where insulation and under floor heating has been installed.
Fast Drying Screed is a Traditional Screed with an added component to accelerate the overall drying time. By adding a product like Ronacrete Uniscreed or similar, allows the screed to harden within 24 hours and become completely dry within approximately 7 days after application (drying times may vary depending upon the depth of screed and product used) this can be used both externally and internally and in areas where insulation and under floor heating has been installed.
Anhydrite Screed is a poured liquid Screed. This is a self leveling product pumped in for a fast installation and would be suitable for larger areas. Anhydrite screeds are high in strength, reducing the risk of cracking. This also can be used in areas where insulation and under floor heating has been installed.
Polymer Screed is a Traditional Screed combined with Polymer Resin additive that is designed to allow the screed to bond directly to a concrete sub base.
